I Still Love Camping

Happy Wednesday guys! As some of you may have seen this little gem accidentally got posted Monday morning. Getting it unpublished and swapped for the correct post wasn't easy since I was on a time crunch. Now I know how PR people feel...

I was going to post it today but I'd rather talk about the movie Boyfriend and I went to see last night.

I was hesitant to go see it simply because I didn't want to. Hello, Think Like A Man is out. Where do I even start to describe or give a recap of this movie? Oh I know...the fuck?! IMDb says, "Five friends go for a break at a remote cabin in the woods, where they get more than they bargained for. Together, they must discover the truth behind the cabin in the woods." And yea, that's more or less accurate. It's what they discover that makes the movie what it is.

It's hard to explain without giving anything away. The movie is mildly predictable at certain scenes, you know, leaving the house to go have sex out in a creepy forest. Just a tip horny people, does not bode well. Hump wisely. At other scenes I couldn't say anything other than I'm so confused. There were zombies (help me baby Jesus), monsters, gods, force fields and ironically enough, comedic scenes. In its own way, the movie gives nod to thrillers of the past such as The Evil Dead and Firefly, but you need to know what you're looking for.

All in all the movie was pretty decent, for what it was, so I'd recommend going to see it.

  1. The one movie I'm waiting to see right now is "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel".... of course, it looks funny/cute and is set in India... so I have special interest in it.  It comes out in the States on May 4th I think.

  2. Well I'm not a fan of horror so I don't think I'll be watching it, but I will remember to hump wisely.

  3. I have been looking forward to this movie for half a year now, but I have NO free time to see it, at least for another two weeks!

  4. I really didn't want to see this, but then you said the magic word: zombies. Dammit. I may have to reconsider.

  5. I have never watched horror in  my life.  I would never sleep again if I did.

  6. You may/may not like it as it's not centered on the zombie family. Boyfriend described it well. It starts as horror and ends as sci-fi.

  9. Josh and I just saw this last night!! I love a good horror flick, but this one... I'm not sure I liked it? I was definitely confused most of the time...  and annoyed by that blond chick!  LOL really with the wolf makeout scene? It was very cliche... like the cast especially: shy girl, black dude, douche bag, blond slut, and stoner. It was an original concept though, I'll give them that :)
