Tequila Is My Frenemy

You know, it's pretty bad when Friday feels like Monday. Not to get all Negative Nancy on you guys but this week sucked something fierce. I mean I love a good thunderstorm like zombies love brains but it has been raining all week. Which means that my office is equivalent to Antarctica. Regulating a thermostat is an unexplored science here. Still, it's Friday. The 4th. Which makes tomorrow...

God bless her genes.

CINCO de MAYO! I plan to get my nacho-margarita-tequila groove on. I'll try to remember to capture some moments for y'all. Tequila has a way of making me forget things. You know, things like, I'm considered an "adult", making jail an option; that "I kissed a girl and I liked it" is just a song and not in fact something to scream out in the bar; or that even though my hips don't lie, I'm no Shakira. Maybe if I practice? With any luck, I'll be in the express lane to margaritaville and won't have any idea clue care as to how un-shakira like I appear.

I'll have to sober up at some point because Saturday night Boyfriend and I will be watching the Mayweather-Cotto fight with friends. I'm really hoping that Cotto knocks Mayweather on his tight, arrogant ass. Everytime he opens his mouth I'm reminded of the episode of South Park where everyone decides to shit out of their mouths. That's pretty much what he's doing anyway.

Aside from all of that fun, it's Friday, which means it's time for Gentri Lee's 7 Questions! (yes I'm making this a regular thing.)

What is your favorite day of the week and why?
I'm gonna have to go with Tuesday. For one, it's usually Date Night with Boyfriend. And it's one day closer to the weekend. Plus, I like the evening TV on Tuesday. Helllo New Girl!
I ♥ Zooey!

If you decided to change your name, what would you change it to?
I find this so amusing. Upon learning my name people have made all sorts of dumb comments, most noteably, asking if I would change it. Seriously? I LOVE my name. Like a lot. First off, I would never change my name - it's too unique. Secondly, my mom would probably kill me. Not that I fear her or anything. (this is a lie)

What is one product you use (it can be anything) that you feel is a miracle worker?
Hmm, I'm not a big "product" gal but I do really love Clinique's Superbalm Lip Treatment. It's super nourishing and it gives a high enough sheen to wear out somewhere but looks insanely natural. Other than that, Oil of Olay moisturizer. Baby's ass smooth people.

High heels, flats, sneakers or boots?
Eek. I'm always torn. There is nothing better than rockin' a pair of sexy heels but I also live to be comfortable in sneakers/flipflops. I wear sneakers to the office and then change into heels. Sometimes I wear flats. Knee-high boots are great. I wish I could get over my dislike of booties. They're cute with certain outfits.

You see your favorite celebrity (any type) walking down the street, what do you do?
Just smile and say hey. I'm chill like that. Honestly? I don't have any "favorite" celebs. Except Zooey. Yes, here at CTAM we love Zooey Deschanel. I mean whats not to like?! So yea, for her, I'd probably be awkward and say something stupid. But in keeping with her character Jess, she'd totally understand.

If you could pick one item to never have to pay for again what would it be?
Plane tickets. I'd be everywhere.

What was your favorite tv show or movie growing up?
Oy. Beauty & the Beast, Aladdin, Cinderella, Family Matters,
Salute Your Shorts, Clarissa Explains It All, and how could anyone forget...
Looney Tunes.

Gotta watch out for that Tequila, or as they say "Ta KILL Ya". I plan to have a few Margaritas myself though!!!

  2. Oh you had me at tequila! I am a Patron lover to a fault and although I seldom indulge to the level I would like to, when it's "go big or go home" time, that's my drink of choice. Have an excellent day celebrating!

  3. My hips totally lie. My hips are dumb. I never do anything for cinco de Mayo. I actually actively forget whenever it comes around. Tomorrow I am eating breakfast, perhaps shopping and then watching the Avengers. I like to live my life like a middle schooler.

  4. I should have mentioned Avengers. That's absolutely on my weekend to-do list. I'll probably need to bring a roll of paper towels for my drool.

  5. I used to be friends with Jose, but then I was introduced to Patron and sadly, Jose and I aren't very close anymore.

  7. You picked a pretty good thing you'd want to not pay for there :) Have fun getting smashed and watching two guys beat the crap out of eachother. You can get wasted and party tonight, sober up in time for the fight, and then get smashed and party again afterwards, sobering up on Sunday ready for Monday.

  13. Tequila is my homeboy. If I were the kind of person that HAD homeboys, that is. Which I'm not. I think. I've never really analyzed my standing on homeboys.

  14. Home fries are also my homeboys. Whoa. This thing just got totally meta.
