(No) Olympic Fever

It's finally here! I leave for Georgia tonight and am so excited. I haven't made this long of a drive since I was 6 and my grandparents and I drove from my hometown to GA. Since I won't really be here for the next few days I figured I'd leave on a fun note. Don't worry though, you can find out which state I'm cruising through and all the random dumbfuckery since I'll be tweeting the entire way down.

It's been quite awhile since I've participated in Gentri Lee's 7 Questions link up, but I'm going to try to get back into a blogging routine. Other wise I don't blog, then I don't read and then, well, then we lose touch. And we can't have that!

So, this week's questions:

The Olympics are awesome! What's your favorite Summer Olympics event to watch?
Ok. I'm going to share something with you guys. Please don't hate me. I don't watch the Olympic games. I don't care which event is on or who won which medals. But since I have to pick something, I suppose gymnastics is my favorite. There's more going on.

If you could compete in an Olympic event (either season), which would it be?
Again, not really interested but the luge is so incredibly awesome. It's like a giant water ride, except that you're gliding down ice at top speeds. It has to be fun. Minus the occasional wreck. No thanks on that.

Would you rather be tickled to death or poked (by finger) constantly for the rest of your life?
I can tolerate being tickled. It's all about mental strength. Besides I find tickling much less annoying than some person poking me.

Do you keep your nails long or short? Square or round?
Right now 5 are short, 5 are long. Usually my natural nails look like crap. They chip and break easy. But lately they've been being awesome. They're long enough to be pretty and they're hard, so I'm happy. As for shape. Um, natural? I just let them grow how they grow and file them to keep them neat.

Do you think you're funny?
I can be. It depends on what's going on. I mean, I'm not hysterical all the time but I definitely have my shining moments. When I was home last month my mom and I were bantering back and forth and I actually made her pee her pants. I call that success.

When you have something you're looking forward to SO much, but it's still a ways off, what do you do to keep yourself distracted?
My MBFF lovingly refers to me as ADD. We were deep in conversation once and I randomly blurted out "ooh look bunnies!"  Needless to say i can be easily distracted. When it's something I'm super excited about I make to-do lists for packing or things I need to do before hand. It makes me feel like I'm gearing up for a big event and I'm prepared.

You've just won an Olympic gold medal! What are you going to do next?!?
Eat a cupcake.

  1. Well you would have earned that cupcake :) I could be contemplating the universe and be on the verge of understanding everything and I would blurt out "Oooh bunnies!" because bunnies are just that awesome and need to be acknowledged. I am not watching the Olympics either, at all. It's actually a bigger sin for me because they're being held here but I legitimately do not care.

  2. Hahah "do you think you're funny?" sounds like meangirls question. ("So you agree. You think you're really pretty.")

  3. I feel better knowing I'm not the only one. I don't care for the World or European Cups either.

  4. For the record, I think you are funny....and awesome. So, there's that! Hope your road trip goes swimmingly and that you see lots of pretty shiny things along the way to distract you!

  5. Oh, man. I'm Olympic-obsessed. I took 2 weeks off from all blogging endeavors just to watch them. The result? I'm now playing a 2-week catch-up game just to make up for those 2 weeks off. So. You're probably the smart one here. Keep on not keeping up with the Olympics, my friend.
