The Eyes Have It

A few weeks ago I was contacted by Antonio at Firmoo about doing a product review. It was the first time I've been asked to do something like this so I said why not. Free glasses for my thoughts? Sign me up!

After going on the website and browsing the styles I went with the #SD2299 style in Matte Black.

What I love about these is that they're over-sized frames. I was feeling kind of hipster-ish when I picked them out.

It should be noted that I do not need or wear glasses or contact lenses so these frames are clear. Firmoo eyeglasses, sunglasses and goggles for both prescription and non-prescription. They also offer variances in lens thickness, tinting, anti-scratch, UV coating and other upgrade options. Much to my dismay, when I was creating my order the tinting option wasn't available.

Ordering was very easy. You simply enter your prescription information, or select "fashion" from the drop-down menu and Firmoo will do the rest. They offer a very wide range of specs and are sure to fit anyone's needs. My only real complaint is that they took awhile to get to me. I agreed to do the review back in the beginning of December and only received the glasses over the holiday weekend.

As for the glasses themselves, I like how well they fit my face. They don't slide off or move around. I really love the matte black color. I find it's something different as every pair of glasses I see are shiny. As would be expected the frames are light and airy. While wearing them I don't feel or notice them.

  1. Ah, I got contacted by them too! I thought about it and forgot to respond. I thought it might be a little awkward, seeing as how I'm anonymous and won't take a pic of myself with them...

  2. Yea, doesn't really work then  haha.

  3.  Well you're looking good in them even if you disagree. Oversized frames aren't really for me though, but each to their own. I'd be willing to let the late delivery slide because it was the holiday period, the post offices are probably very, very busy even before things really kick in.

  4. No no, if you wanted to really look like a hipster you needed to take those pictures with Instagram and filter the crap out of them. You know, show how "artistic" you are by making everything grainy and sepia toned.

Those don't look bad on you, but I'm not a big fan of oversized frames. It always reminds me of those old people reading glasses that look like the windshield of a Buick.

  5.  I'm not usually a fan of large frames but you somehow make those look really adorable! Now *I* would look like a manky hipster.

    Happy 2013, MZ! *HUGS!*

  6. Maybe it's because I wear big framed sunglasses? I feel like such a tool with clear frames on but the vanity in me says I look good in glasses. Just not overly crazy about these ones.
I wish you all the craziness (in the fun way) in 2013!   xoxo

  7. LMAO! As long as I don't look like a Buick I think I've succeeded!

I do like sepia tone, but grainy, ugh. I can never be a hipster - I don't even know HOW to be one!

  8. Thanks! And you're right. Shipping is always crazy during December. I'm not holding it against them. But I figured I'd mention it, being objective and all.

  9. YOU LOOK SO CUTE! Like you're totally the leader of a pack of flannel-wearing hipsters. The captain. The alpha hipster.
