Ready, Set Go

On my brain: 'the first post of 2013. Oh man. Pressure! This has to be good. It sets the tone for the new year. Yikes. What do I write? Do I go funny, do I go sincere? I'm hungry. My foot hurts. What do I write?!'

Yea.. all that rolled through my brain matter in about 5 seconds. And then I said fuck it.

How was everyone's New Years? Boyfriend and I went to his Aunt's for a small get together and then were going to call it a night around 10:30 but I was suddenly feeling awake. I mean I had heels and makeup on. I wasn't wasting either.  We went to The Heights to visit MBFF. Being the BFF that he is our bill came to a whopping $16. And complimentary champagne? You shouldn't have. I may or may not have drank 3. What? They were sitting in front of me and no one claimed them.

Unfortunately for Boyfriend he didn't adhere to the rule and had a few beers at his Aunt's and then proceeded to move on to Mr. Daniels. Needless to say he's feeling the way Ke$ha looks. Sorry I'm not sorry?

In other news I'm excited to tell you that there will be some changes coming to CTAM in the near future. New year, new updates, all that jazz. No, it's something that has been in the works for the past month and I can't wait for you all to see it and give me feedback.

I'm close to a record number of followers, for me, and in celebration of it I'm planning my first giveaway! I'm pretty excited about it so I hope you'll all enter and share.

On February 23rd I've decided to freeze for a good cause. I'll be participating in the 2013 Polar Bear Plunge. What is it you ask? Well, a bunch of us crazies strip down to our swimwear and plunge into the freezing Atlantic all for the benefit of the NJ chapter of the Special Olympics. The purpose of the event is so that the organization can "provide year-round training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-style sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities...". You can view my personal donation page HERE. Please help me make a difference!

Good God girl you are brave doing the Polar Bear Plunge!!!! Good for you!!!! On New Year's Day all the rage here was the Dolphin Dip where there was a 5K on the beach followed by a dip in the Atlantic. No Thank You. I cleansed my body with Debosas instead.

  2. Oooh good luck with the polar bear plunge. Sounds...cold, but also a good cause. My new years was nothing too special, but it hasn't been for quite some time. I had Jessica over though so at least I wasn't alone this year I guess.

  5. Polar bear plunge!  You rock!  And I'm kinda really glad I live in Texas, so plunges like that don't come along too often.

Michael, you always make me laugh.  I need to find a way to get your posts in my inbox every morning since I don't have the Google follow capability, because they make my day!  Polar bear plunge???  Yes, it's a good cause but you're crazy.  Me and cold water don't mix!  Looking forward to hearing all about that.
