The Great Escape | March Glam Bag

I can't lie. I'm a little disappointed with this month's picks. The bag? Freaking adorable! And it goes perfect with my navy stripe summer bag from Aldo that I bought weeks ago.

But really, here's what we were sent.

Juice Beauty Hydrating Mist: I thought this would be awesome and was really excited to get it but honestly, it smells terrible. It contains "a blend of rosehip, ylang-ylang, resveratrol grape-seed oil and anti-oxidant rich juices". It might be nice in the summer while lying out in the sun. We'll see. You can save 20% on a purchase of $30+ by using code GLAM20.

LA Fresh Makeup Remover Wipes: I was also excited to see the wipes in the bag and thought they smelled decent enough. The pouch is resealable which is a bonus. As for their actual usage, I liked them. They weren't overly wet and my face felt soft and moisturized after using them. Usually I need to follow up with moisturizer because my skin gets tight. I didn't feel that way with these. At $1.99 for a pack of 8,  I'd actually buy these wipes when this pack is gone. Use code IPSY13 to save 30%.

GlamRX Mini Freestyle Palette and Yaby eyeshadow: This I can say i was truly disappointed with. At first I was all An empty palette? Really Ipsy?? but then my friend pointed out that it's magnetic. Ok, that's kind of cool. At $16.50 I think this is a waste an since I hate loose shadows like this so having a magnetic palette doesn't do me much good unless I just put all my Ipsy sample shadows in it, which I will. Get 20% off a Touch Up palette using code IPSY.

As for the Yaby shadows, the colors were good. The one on the left is      and the one on the right is Azalea Petal. I'm a sucker for any variation of neutrals so I'm sure I'll use these at some point. Get 25% off on any order using code ipsyglam20130325.

Truth? I didn't love any of it. I've been an Ipsy member since December and this was the first time I was ever disappointed with all the products we were sent. I'm hoping that next month will be more useful and will include some fun samples/colors for summer.

Do you subscribe to Ipsy? What did you think of your bag?

My cousins are here until Friday evening so today is my Friday and I'll be MIA for the rest of the week!

I hope you all have fabulous weekends and be sure to check back on Monday to hear all about the weekend shenanigans!

  1. Don't you hate it when they disappoint you? I subscribe to a few other monthly beauty boxes and some months they are really a miss. One of mine was a big fat disappointment this month. Oh well, it's always good for re-gifting, right? I will box that stuff up and send it to my mom. She'll be thrilled. :) Enjoy your time with your cousins!

  2. Have fun with your cousins!

I ended up cancelling my Birchbox subscription because of too many months like these!

I LOVE Beautybox, however! I've been thrilled with every month!

  3. I'm relatively new to ipsy and got it as a birthday gift so I can't really complain.. For next year though, I'm thinking of switching to Beautybox. I think it's more expensive but the quality of the samples are so much better from what I hear..

  4. I just signed up for the waiting list back in February and should be getting my first glam bag in April. I have heard good things about it so we'll see if next month's bag is better than the March one!!

  5. least the bag is super-cute!
