According to K

Hey loves!
Here we are at Wednesday. The concert was awesome but I'll fill you in on that later.
Today, I have a special guest post for you. Oddly enough it didn't take any begging, bribing or trickery. I told asked and I received. Funny how that works out sometimes.
Hey! Today I am the guest blogger for Michael's blog. I'm known as the "boyfriend" (or "K") and no I'm not giving my name. But there are a few things to know about me. I'm the one who doesn't have a Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (yet) or any other social media.

I'm the one who lives in a t-shirt and ripped jeans and no they're not bought that way. I'm a huge Yankees/Knicks/Rangers and Cowboys fan and if I have to, Tiger Woods and Jimmy Johnson. Yes, I like all sports (He thinks he knows everything).

I'm also into horror movies and serial killers (this is what kept him out of the friend zone). And I'm not complete without my goatee. I have a truck and I'll drive wherever. I smoke cigars and chew (the girlfriend definitely does not like it) (the cigars are fine. the chew is going to make him single) drink Jack Daniel's and Corona. I'm extremely sarcastic and have a sick sense of humor (macabre is more like it). Vegas and AC are my playgrounds but wait, wait... enough about me. This blog is supposed to be about the girlfriend.

Technically the first time I saw her was at a Fear Factory concert. The first time we hung out I backed into some lady's car and on our first date the cops kicked us out of a park, and not for doing anything wrong (True. Maybe these were signs?).  She was on time for the first date.... and hasn't been on time since. She's the girl who can always cheer me up with just a smile. No I'm not depressed, I'm just saying. She deals with me when I don't shave, leave to cabinets open, leave the toilet seat up (rare), leave the lights on, hang my clothes off the edge of the bed, (If by 'deal' he means complain, then yes. These all drive me bat-shit crazy) don't stay over all the time (even though I'll be moving in)... fuck. Maybe I'm not a good boyfriend?! (oh but I am) Not too many people deal with my bullshit but she does. I love how just a walk around the block or staying home and watching a movie (it better be horror) is good enough for her. Or snuggling on a rainy night.

For those of you that follow the girlfriend she is very good with words and writing so I hope I did her justice today. Maybe I'll be back again if she asks because there's more to know about me and why she's a perfect match for me (awww). To end this, here's a favorite quote of mine: "Through adversity there is redemption; with passion, fighting I am unbroken"
K's a keeper. It's true he almost ended up in the friend zone though. I just wasn't in the mood to be in a relationship. Then he told me he liked serial killer books and documentaries and I was sold. Yeah, that's not weird or anything. I blame it on my former psych major background.

But that's him. The other half. Leave him some appreciation for taking the plunge and doing his first post! I've been doing this for over a year and guest posting still makes me super nervous!

I'll see you love bugs on Friday!

  1. Excellent job boyfriend. And lemme tell ya, my husband drinks Jack Daniels and uses skoal and we've been married for 27 years. Obviously both great qualities!

  2. awww this was cute! he sounds a lot like Josh... could care less about social media and is a total dude's dude. But his liquor of choice is Jameson... but maybe he choose it a little too much haha

  3. Aww love everything about this except for the Cowboys (whaaaaaat?!) and the dip parts. Haha on time for the first date and never again after that.

  4. Aw I love the idea of this! What a sweet post and it was fun getting to know him!
