Ready to Rumble

The start of football season is just around the corner. I play fantasy every year and love every minute of it. I'll be double playing this year. If you've been around the blog you know it's Big Blue erryday in this house. I even make pancakes and pumpkins in their honor.

Two weeks ago there were sign ups for the a bloggers fantasy league. Our draft took place yesterday and there were some solid picks made. Today I'm excited to introduce you to the ladies of Victorious Secret!

I'm Stephanie and I blog at Not Entirely Perfect. I live in Chicago and I named my dog Hawkeye after the Iowa Hawkeyes so obviously I have a deep love of football. She has a Bears jersey, we go to the bar and watch games together. Sometimes we play the 'which hand' game and I hold up photos of my fantasy players and she tells me who to bench. So yes, my dog is about to beat you at fantasy football.

Is this your first time playing fantasy football? What made you go for it? Nope, I play every year. I love fantasy football! Even those years when my team sucks, it's still fun.

What's your favorite thing about football? Fave team?: Chicago Bears!! And judging by my usual Sunday behaviors, my favorite thing about football is drinking cheap beer and yelling at the TV screen like the players and coaches can hear me.

How'd you come up with your team name?: My team name is Off Constantly.  Because nobody beats Off Constantly. {This cracked me up when I read her e-mail!}

Hi I'm K.K, and I write a blog called Kakers in Wonderland. It has zero direction due to the fact that I day drink because I make movies, tv shows and funny-ish crap for a living. You know you live in Hollywood when you walk outside your complex and see hipsters fighting with a homeless man over a sweater someone threw away. My blog is about my life on set, while on pain killers and/or some purple drank (pinkies up because you're a lady). I also stalk Joseph Gordon-Levitt for a living, wait does it count if he pays you? Let me correct that I get paid so he can lust over me all day. Yeah that sounds sooo much better. Anywho I'm a 29 year old kid who lives like I'm in a fraternity. How? I can live off of taco shop, beer, cake and the biggest TV package DIRECTV can offer. Happy Footballing Hookers!

Is this your first time playing fantasy football? What made you go for it? No not at all, I've been wrecking dreams of becoming a champion for years. I went for it because I'm a hard core March Madness dream wrecker. That same group of guys had me join their league and I've been on it ever since.

What's your favorite thing about football? Fave team? My favorite thing about football is that it's an excuse for day drinking, eating like a caveman and acting like an asshole. It brings out the worst in you with is usually your good qualities on hyper drive. {Yes! I'm all about the beers, food and running my mouth}

How'd you come up with your team name? I just mixed the best things that have ever happen to America. I mean seriously RG3 is a god and Harry Potter literally rules our world.

I'm a young Marine Wife and mom of three little kids. I blog at KellyMaeBlog and write about everything from military life to homeschooling!

Is this your first time playing fantasy football? What made you go for it? This will be my 3rd fantasy football season. I've spent the last 2 seasons as commissioner of my own league! A friend told me about this opportunity and I knew I had to jump on it!

What's your favorite thing about football? Fave team? Born and raised in Southern CA, I bleed blue and gold! I was born into a Chargers family where football season is the best season and every Sunday is a holiday. My parents are season ticket holders and when I was 14 I was part of the Jr. Charger Girls team and got to perform at half-time during a Chargers/Bengals game! I'll never forget it!

How'd you come up with your team name? I chose Cry Me A Rivers as my team name because although I'm a huge Bolts fan, I think Rivers is a cry baby!! {Yet another great name!}

I'm Kelley, a 25 year old newlywed, married to a football fanatic, living in sweet home Alabama. I've got a fur baby named Carolina and a new blog called A Moyer Adventure. I'm a craft supply hoarder, amateur baker & chef, and a loyal sports fan.

Is this your first time playing fantasy football? What made you go for it? I am a fantasy football virgin. My husband has done them before, and I always thought they were stupid, pointless, and a waste of time. His love and devotion to football has started to rub off on me, and I have become increasingly more interested in FF but intimidated by it at the same time. He encouraged me to do this, and I felt it would be a way for us to actually have a conversation during football season instead of me just having to listen to him yell at the TV.

What's your favorite thing about football? Fave team? My favorite thing about football would have to be the good looking players (I married a Jason Witten look-a-like). But no, really it'd have to be that it is something that brings a lot of people together, and you can have a good time watching it whether it be at home, a bar, or if you're lucky enough, live. The excitement from it being a contact sport isn't too shabby either. Who doesn't like to see a man get drilled? My favorite team is the Carolina Panthers!!! {I couldn't agree more! Football definitely brings people together. Unless you're rival teams!}

How'd you come up with your team name? X's and O's is a play on kisses and hugs and the X's and O's used in play diagrams. I wanted it to be a little girly but have something to do with football at the same time.

Hi my name is Danielle and I blog over at Miss Glam DanMiss Glam Dan is my personal style and fashion blog. I have a clear affinity for stripes and sequins and every day is treated like a fashion show even in my office. Beyond my personal style posts, I also share my love of makeup, nail polish, and motivating others. I love the color pink, country music, and monogramming everything in sight.

Is this your first time playing fantasy football? What made you go for it? Officially, yes. I've been pining to play for years, but I've never been allowed to play in the all guys leagues that my family and boyfriend has. I'm obsessed with football, so it's a no brainer!

What's your favorite thing about football? Fave team? My favorite thing about football is just the excitement and how wrapped up you get in the game, plus I love the camaraderie. I've grown up loving the NY Jets (even though we're struggling right now) being from New York and all, but the Cardinals have grown on me since living in Arizona. {The Jets?! We're going to have problems already...}

How'd you come up with your team name? I wanted something girly, but still football related, so why not combine one of my favorite Cardinals players, Larry Fitzgerald, with my love of shoes: If The Shoe Fitz.

I'm a wife and new mom to an adorable little boy. I live just outside of Atlanta and I work in advertising. I'm a former college athlete, so I'm super competitive. I've always loved football but this is my first time playing Fantasy. I enjoy Frank Sinatra, wine, football, family time, cooking, traveling and catching up with family and friends.

Is this your first time playing fantasy football? What made you go for it? I decided to play Fantasy Football because my husband has been asking me to do it for years - claiming that I would enjoy Sundays just as much as Saturdays if I participated in a Fantasy league. I'll admit my first love is college football but I am looking forward to NFL Sunday's this year. {You will! Sundays, Mondays and sometimes Thursday and even a rare Saturday!!}

What's your favorite thing about football? Fave team? My favorite thing about football is how it unites people. No matter what team you root for there is some sort of draw when it comes to football fans - you can almost find some commonality. And when you can't there's nothing better than talking smack to a rival fan :)

How'd you come up with your team name? My team name is Buckin' Browns because it was one of my first sentences as a child. My family is from Cleveland and my dad is a huge Browns fan. When I was a baby the Browns were known as the cardiac kids because they'd always give up a lead late and the game. My dad would yell at the TV and I apparently thought it was a game. Hence the name. {Ha! So cute}

I'm a 27 year old mom to an adorable almost one year old. I am a nanny/household manager and also coach soccer. I'm a corny kind of funny and like to take selfies when I get bored in traffic. I also hate writing "about me" blurbs. {Me too! I never know what to write!}

Is this your first time playing fantasy football? What made you go for it? I'm a fantasy football virgin! I've always loved football but became obsessed when I started watching The League. I've wanted to play for the past couple of years but have always had crazy life changes happening.

What's your favorite thing about football? Fave team? The tight pants. Duh. But really, I like the community of it all the most! I live in Charlotte but there's a Steelers bar here! I love it! Oh, and fav team? STEELERS! I'll refrain from typing the lyrics to black and yellow.

How'd you come up with your team name? When I was pregnant I had a friend who called my son Chalupa so when I saw the League episode where taco named the baby Chalupa Batman I almost died. So thus we have, Chalupa Batman.

I am a wife, mom, teacher, & coach! I blog at Back to Bliss and just recently completed my first half marathon! I love Sunday Funday during football season cheering on our hometown team, the Buffalo Bills!

Is this your first time playing fantasy football? What made you go for it? I've played fantasy football before in a couple's league. I beat my husband every time. Priceless.

What's your favorite thing about football? Fave team? My favorite thing about football is August - when I can still believe that the Bills are going to the SuperBowl. Come September, that dream is crushed...

How'd you come up with your team name? Team Name - "I Love a Good Tight End..."  Literally, the team name shows my appreciation for a hot piece of ass. Truly though, it is an ode to my husband, who inadvertently drafted 5 tight ends last year making him the laughing stock of the league. Since then, it's become a running joke in our house. {No wonder she beats him every time!}

I'm Katherine Nolden and I blog over at The Duchess of Plumewood, I'm a twenty something in my last year of law school (thank God) and a proud Texan who loves all things history and English.

Is this your first time playing fantasy football? What made you go for it? This is my first time playing fantasy football but I've heard strategy and endless talk from my boyfriend Tom and so I would like to test out my skills before I try and play against him!

What's your favorite thing about football? Fave team? My favorite thing about football is that it brings together an entire city and people from across the country. I proudly wear purple and gold and root for the Vikings even though I'm from Texas!

How'd you come up with your team name? My team name is a play on my blog name and the Vikings' back up quarterback Matt Cassel! (The Duchess' Cassel) {I think this is so cute!}

  1. You ladies are gonna have a great time. Love the creative team names!!! I used to be in an all female fantasy football league called "chicks dig the long ball" and our motto was "got balls? then you can't be in our league".
