Make It Happen

It's the start of a new month and I've decided it's time to do some things. I am constantly seeing lists at the beginning of the month. Even though this is already late, I'll give it a try. I'm also going to print the list so it's not just posted and forgotten. I'm keeping it relatively simple since there's no use in trying to overdo it and then throwing in the towel.

Now that it's officially fall, there are so many things I want to do. I just need the weather to cooperate. 78+ in October? Really? What happened to my crisp fall temperatures!? I want sweatshirt and scarf weather, dammit!
Go apple picking
There's a family owned farm maybe 30 minutes from where I live that does all of these festive fall activities. I've also found a good recipe for apple butter that I want to make so this fits perfectly.
Start saving for Christmas
This one is kind of ongoing but it's still something I really need to do. I am the worst. I like to do all my shopping on Black Friday but if I don't start saving now, I'll never get to it and then I'll be shopping in December. Since I only have 5 people to buy for it shouldn't be too big of a budget.
Go to the gym at least 10 times
How bad is it when going to the gym 10x in a month is progress? At least it's something. I am the absolute worst when it comes to working out. I HATE going to the gym after work but getting up at 4:45 to be there by 5 to be back home by 7 isn't my cup of tea either. This breaks down to twice a week. I can do this.
Stay on top of school work
Yet another thing that shouldn't really be on the list... but it is. I'm a procrastinator plain and simple. I like to find my resources and then wait until about 3 days before a paper is due to write it. I need to stop doing this. I've got 2 major papers that are do in the next few weeks and I want to stay ahead.
Watch 31 new horror/thriller movies
Now is the perfect time to watch all the horror movies I can. There's a lot I haven't seen, like Nightmare on Elm Street (I know, it's ridiculous) but I'm going to do my best to watch 31 new movies by the month's end.
What are you looking to get done this month?

  1. That's a great list. I tend to write lists, but on a much smaller scale, like daily or weekly. My husband just asked me to pencil him in for some sex. Guess I've been forgetting that on my "to do" list. Hahaha
