Goodbye 2013

We've got another year in the books as 2013 comes to a close tonight. Sometimes it still catches me off guard that we're in the 2000s. I remember 1993 like it was yesterday.

Today is the recap of all recaps.... 2013 in review. If you're new, here's a good way to catch up. If you've been around, talk a walk down memory lane with me!
In January I revamped by blog and debuted a new design thanks to KV's Confessions. I loved it from day one. I also participated in the first month of the Mini Messy Project and had my first giveaway. And then my mom and I chastised K for not being an organ donor.

February was a month of firsts. I talked about the best reasons to actually have kids and gave birthday shoutouts to my mom. I discovered K knows "us" better than I do in a battle of the sexes. I did my first vlog. The highlight of month found me in the Atlantic for the Polar Bear Plunge. What a rush that was!

March brought on the luck of the Irish with my first Dropkick Murphys concert and the best St. Patrick's Day to ever live! K was less than thrilled but he was a good sport about it. I attempted my first DIY project and it turned out pretty good. My cousin came to visit and we found the Berlin Wall and walked the Brooklyn Bridge. I also did a little digging and found some cool things about my ancestry.

In April I went on my first blogging date. I recapped a year of firsts with my niece and raised a bottle to her 1st birthday. I gave you the ABCs of me and a bit of who I am.

May was the start of spring and new adventures. I did my 2nd eShakti sponsored post, went to a Yankees game with K and saw the real Starry Night. There was a guest post by K, Messy Project fun, and the biggest thing of all, K moved in.

June is, was and always will be hard. This June marked the one year passing of my sister. I also held a poll asking what you want more of. Funny held the majority.  My wine habit was sponsored and I talked about what I've learned in my 20s.

With July, summer was in full effect. K and I went to Monster mini golf to kick off the start of our  staycation weekend which included stops at the Warwick Valley Winery and the State Fair. I linked up about that date from hell and talked about what I learned after I started blogging. I went on my 2nd blogging date to say goodbye to Setarra and remembered the simple things about life.

I had been waiting for August all summer. It was time to go to the Spiedie Fest. I also shared a funny story about shaving off my eyebrow. I talked about my favorite fall things and finally finished my 101 in 1001 list. I impersonated Barney and reflected on my 28 years.

In September the blog TURNED TWO! I still can't believe it's been this long. I also ate my weigh in macNcheese and allowed K to take over again. School started this month so the blog took a bit of a back seat.

October was interesting. I wrote a manual on how to date me and discussed my goals for the month. This turned into a monthly piece for the rest of the year. I went to my first Yelp event, and discussed things that, if being honest, I really don't like. I rounded out the month with an awesome Halloween party and time spent with Little Miss.

November was by far the best month of the quarter. I talked about seeing a live performance of Rocky Horror, turned 29 and received the best birthday present ever.

December went by in a flash. So much so that not much actually happened. The tree went up, life changed a bit, I had a great Christmas and was ready to start 2014 on good notes.

I truly love this space of mine and I want to thank all of you for reading, commenting, and re-tweeting. You continue to make this a rewarding experience.

See you in 2014!
