Goals | January Recap

It feels like I made my January goals forever ago. But here we are, the end of January so let's get into it.

At the end of December I didn't make any real resolutions since I try to set goals for each month. I kept January's goals simple so as not to overwhelm myself first thing. I made efforts to not touch my savings; be happy; keep up with my new post schedule; and regain focus.

I scored 87.5% this month. The last 31 days have been pretty damn good. I plan to take this happy train and break on through to the other side of February. I have to give credit where it's due and my Capital One 360 account hasn't been touched since October. I still need to keep my hands off my Chase savings. The 360 account takes work to get to as it takes about 3-4 business days for a transfer to go through, so if I'm withdrawing it it's for a good reason.

I stayed focused on work and school for the month. This semester is going to be the hardest I've had in a long time. I'm up to the challenge, but it will require ongoing focus.

Did you make goals for this month? How'd you do?

  1. I didn't really set any goals which might be one of the reasons I didn't really get as much done as I would have liked. Congratulations to you on doing a good job. Keep it up like you said. If you start good, you'll almost definitely end good.

  3. Sounds like you're doing great! Wishing you continued success! I made some goals, but didn't do as well as I was hoping, especially not on the saving front!
