Destination Beauty | March Ipsy

It's been a loooong freaking time since I've done an Ipsy recap and since the March bag arrived last week, I figured why not?!

This month's theme was Destnation Beauty. When I checked out what I was getting online I wasn't all that thrilled. Still, here's what was in the bag.

Chella Eyeliner Pen in Indigo Blue ($24)
I've used Chella once before thanks to Ipsy and I am a fan of the brand. As for this pencil, it was okay to apply and the color is vibrant. This girl has never work blue eyeliner, but here's how I used it. I'm keeping this, but I doubt I'll ever use it.

Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Get Ready ($18)
This was the one thing I was actually excited about. Bare Minerals makes awesome products and since I've still been on a lipstick kick I was happy to see this. I've been wanting something a little suitable for daily wear. This was a miss. Please excuse my face...

This picture obviously sucks but basically, it's a flower petal pink shade that just doesn't look good on me at all.

Klorane Smoothing and relaxing patches with soothing cornflower ($
I was least excited about these. According to the company website they're supposed to "reduce signs of fatigue quickly and instantly soothe and refresh the eyes. Smooths age lines and reduces dark circles and puffiness". I haven't even opened these.

Be A Bombshell Bora Bora Eyeshadow Quad ($16)
I was on the fence about this. The teal color interested me but I know it's not a color I'd ever truly wear. Unfortunately this quad is a bust for me but my friend wants it, so it's going to a good home. Even better than that, she received the NYX Love in Rio 'Moonlit Skinny Dip' Eyeshadow Palette ($6) which I would have preferred, so we're trading.

Here are my orbs after using the NYX palette... and some eye liner and mascara. They're great neutral colors but I just know that this is going to be worn off by the end of the day, and I'm not one to "touch up".

Are you an Ipsy subscriber? If not, you can join in on the fun and subscribe.  What did you love/hate this month?

  1. based on this pic alone, i think that lipstick looks good...natural. again, it could look different in person but in the pic, it looks nice.

  2. I have to disagree as well, I think te pink lipstick looks awesome!
