Life Lately

Since I didn't labor on Monday I figure now is as good a time as any to give you a brief recap of the weekend and play catch up with what's been going on lately. And in typical CTAM fashion... it's out of order :)

You guys, school starts TO-DAY. No tomorrow, not next week, To-freakin-Day. I’ve been anticipating this day for weeks, months even, and now that it's here, I'm sooo not ready. I already have homework due next Monday... the first day of that class. I don't care if this is senior year, that shit is bull. But this is it... the home stretch. I just need to keep my head until December...

I've been delaying getting into yoga forever. I want to go to a studio but they're soo expensive that I never do it. I have 1 DVD but I never take the time to do it. {maybe this should have been one of my September goals?} The thing is, I know I would really benefit from it. Working out is so addicting....

Last Friday I went to the mall across from my job while I was waiting for K to get to the gym. I immediately went into Gap because, hello, everything was 50% off. He talked me out of buying a pair of $20 jeans. Points for him. I liked them but didn't love them. They fit but I never have time for jeans. I'm in dress clothes all week long.

Instead I found myself in Old Navy, which I hate. But I do love their athletic stuff. And when everything is 40% off, you don't say no. I left with 2 new pairs of pants, in a smaller size I might add, and a new shirt. Can't wait to wear this!

It only took me all summer but I finally went kayaking. On Labor Day no less. I brought K with me and since it was his first time he wanted to use the tandem kayak. I always go alone so this was new to me. I’m pretty sure he’ll never go again. We were doing fine, padding together and after we had gone a ways we decided to turn around and explore the other way. The problem? Every 4 feet or so no matter which side we paddled on we’d turn to the left and would go in a circle. It was the most frustrating thing. It took us some time to get back and by then we were both done. I’m pretty sure he’ll never go again.

Last Wednesday was our 3 year anniversary. It feels like longer. He went above and beyond this year in the gift department but I was equally shocked and happy by his choice.

I wasn’t expecting that pretty black box at all, but I really love it.

And that's been life lately. There's no sign of it slowing down any time soon either.
