Late last month I signed up to participate in the Great Pumpkin Swap. I hadn't done this particular one before and thought it would be a fun thing to do to kick off the fall season.

I was fortunate enough to be paired with someone who's blog I already read. It lessened the pressure since I didn't feel like I was buying for a "complete stranger".

Kristin was awesome and got me some great items but really made it personal as well.

First, this scarf, which I adore. I've worn it twice already and it's huge, and fluffy and warm and perfect!

The Burt's Bees chapstick is great because I was running out and was feeling too lazy to buy new ones, so this came at an ideal time.

She also sent me a fun holiday banner which I hung up in my cubicle at work.

I really liked the nail polish she picked out, Jazzy Jade  since it was a color I'd probably buy for myself.

What I liked the best was her personal touch. She included a package of mini chocolate chips and a can of pumpkin puree (not pictured), along with one of her favorite recipes.

I was super eager to make these so I actually whipped them up this past Sunday. I probably added more chips than necessary but they were dense and delicious. I'll absolutely make these again!

Thanks again Kristin!

In other news, K and I are headed to NY this weekend for some Halloween fun with Little Miss and the fam. Weekend trips are always too short, but we try and make the most of them!

Happy Friday!
