Aruba, Jamaica...

I’ve been keeping quiet about some plans I’ve had for quite a while. Mainly because at the time it all came up it was a year away from actually happening. Now that we’re almost there, I feel like I can brag talk about it.

In April I’m going on my first real vacation.

I’ve taken trips down the shore, visited family in Georgia or Virginia, and spent drunken weekends in Boston. But none of those are realvacations.

No. This time, in 59 short days, K and I are hopping on a plane with our snazzy new passports and we’re heading to Jamaica for the week.

The ‘rents will be hitting the 20 year mark this April and to celebrate they’re doing a vow renewal ceremony in Jamaica, which is their favorite vacation spot. I was fully planning on going home to spend a fun-filled week with Little Miss but then they dropped the confetti and told me that K and I were coming with them.

I’m getting the opportunity to cross off several items from the 101 in 1001 list, which is always awesome. This will be my first time leaving the country. K too. Sad, I know.

I’m planning on heading to Dunn’s Falls to hike to the top and over to Rick's Cafe in Negril to {maybe} jump off the cliffs. I’m a little nervous about the second one. I’m not afraid of heights but 25’ is a long way down! The one thing I'm really looking forward to? Taking some yoga classes! Yoga on the beach - I'm certain I'll pass out from pure bliss.

I can't wait to have all the food and drink all the poolside drinks. As much as I want to "relax" I also want to pack as many activities as I can into these 7 sun-soaked days.

Have you ever been? Is there something you suggest doing?
