Sunday Sweats Vol. 12



Sunday 8/16
K an I took a walk up to DD to get coffee and split a donut. We then took the "long way" home and just had a really nice Sunday morning stroll. 

Monday 8/17 - GYM!!
I finally did it. I got myself back to the gym. I almost didn't know what to do with myself so I decided to ease into things. 15 minutes on the StairMaster and then 2 minutes of kettle bell swings. 

As a highlight I also earned a new FitBit badge.



Tuesday 8/18
If it wasn't obvious that I haven't been to the gym in quite some time, my muscles were sure to let me know. Today there was a lot of soreness. I pretty much did nothing but try to walk without tripping.

Wednesday 8/19 - Gym
I continued to ease back into my routines, and arrived way later than usual, so I stuck with cardio for the day. 35 mins on the elliptical and then because I feel the need to lift some weights, I did 3 sets on the lat pull down. I also took my lunch to Central Park so there was quite a bit of walking as well. 

Thursday 8/20
Thursday I didn't do much of anything. Recovery was kind of my priority. 

Friday 8/21 - Gym
I'm really happy to say I got my butt to the gym 3 days this week. This was what I had been doing previously but I think I burned myself out working out first thing in the morning 6 days a week.  I put in some time on the StairMaster and at the leg press machine. My weights have dropped, which really sucks, but I know that in a few weeks I'll be back to where I was. 

Saturday 8/22 - Walk
Saturday I hung out with a friend and went shopping for the majority of the day. R&R is so good.  

Weekly steps: 66,921

I'm really feeling good about finally getting back into the gym. This time around I'm going to put a little more time into cardio {it's my guaranteed method of cutting} and cleaning up my diet.
