I'll be honest and say that I really didn't do much of anything this week. Tuesday night K and I walked to the diner to grab some dinner. +1 for walking, -45 for ordering a burger and curly fries. #whatever.
However, I did do one thing this week that is worth sharing.
I was able to score 2 free tickets to the Lolë White Tour, which took place on Wednesday on The Great Lawn in Central Park. I asked Alyssa if she wanted to join me. Being the #BadYogi that she is, she was willing.
First of all, if you've never been to The Great Lawn, let me just tell you that it's huge and pretty much right at the heart of Central Park. Concerts get played here all the time.
On Wednesday, there was a yoga takeover.

It may not look like much, but that right there is roughly 10,000 yogis all coming together for one purpose.... Peace.
This is the third yoga event I've attended this summer and it was, like the others, nothing short of humbling. Summer Solstice was amazing. It was beautiful, soul opening, and completely mind blowing. Stillness in the midst of madness.
The class I attended in Bryant Park made me so sore in the best way and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Lolë was different all together. It was soo peaceful. I don't know if it was because of how many of us there were, or if it was because it was in Central Park but it was an amazing experience.
Yoga, mindfulness, and meditation are some practices that have become very important to me in the last few months. They feed me from the inside out and I believe it makes me a better person. I'm slow-er to anger, I look at things from an objective point of view, I try to be in the moment at all times. Living, observing, experiencing.
These three experiences have been so amazing. I strongly encourage you to do one if you have the opportunity.
