The holidays are officially here and that means it's time to get hot in the kitchen! If there's one thing I've learned, it's that I should have gone to culinary school. My love for all things food is strong. 

This weekend I decided to whip up some holiday treats to bring into work. Any excuse to bake, right? I took a trip to Walmart this weekend to pick up a new vacuum, a new shower head and also grabbed a bag of SPLENDA® Sugar Blend while I was there. I was originally going to make chocolate chip cookies but on the back of the bag was a Sweet Swaps™ Recipe for carrot cake. Instead, I decided to change it up and make holiday cupcakes.

I'm a huge SPLENDA® user already but when it came to baking I was always forced to use regular sugar. Now that there are baking blends I can continue to cut my sugar intake while still enjoying sweets. The best thing about these baking blends is that it uses half the amount of sugar.
