Sunday Sweats Vol. 14

I've finally decided I feel gross, which means it's time to start eating better and moving more. If  ever say I love exercise please know that I'm most likely delirious from a lack of carbs, or I'm high off endorphins. There is no happy medium for me. 

What I do know is that I tend to be very all or nothing. And there's been a lot of nothing going on lately. And I feel it. I think it's time I learn the art of moderation. My only goal right now is to move more, to simply get back into the swing of things. 

Friday 12/11: yoga 
I'm restarting Erin's 30-Day Challenge again because I've never completed it. 30 days is nothing! I just need to remember that it doesn't matter when I do it, just that I do it. 

Saturday 12/12: yoga
Day 2 of the 30-day challenge is complete. I noticed that I lost some range in some poses but it could also be that it was first thing in the morning. We'll see as I keep going. 

Sunday 12/13:  walk
It's not like I was doing any type of strenuous activity but the couch and I rekindled our love affair and watched Netflix all day. Around 2 pm I was ready to call it a day and hit the sheets. Instead I went out for an hour and 20 minute walk and felt much more energized. 

Monday 12/14: yoga
I immediately got back in the groove and dos both Day 3 and 4 of the challenge. This time I want to finish in 30 days instead of falling off halfway through. 

Tuesday 12/15: yoga 
I woke up with a tender core from Monday's yoga session but I realized I really missed that feeling. Sore muscles hurt so good. 

Wednesday 12/16: yoga + walk
I'm settling in to waking up and doing my yoga session every morning. Today was lower back so that felt really nice. After work I walked from 51st Street to 11th street to repay my friend for playing babysitter a few weeks ago. These were well deserved. 

Thursday 12/17: yoga
We were supposed to work on crow but because I genuinely suck at that I repeated the session from Tuesday which focused on the core. 

Friday 12/18: yoga + walk
I did my morning yoga session and then after worked walked to the Apple store by Lincoln center and then walked back to Port Authority from there. 25 blocks, 27 minutes. 

Saturday 12/19: rest
I skipped yoga this morning and instead wrapped up Christmas shopping in the afternoon. I had been craving Aussie Fries for a few weeks now so I made sure to hit up Outback and get my fix.

Sunday 12/20: gym + yoga
I woke up feeling ready to go so I hopped out of bed and went straight to the gym. I put in an entire hour of working out and I felt good. I then came home and did both Day 9 and Day 10 of the yoga challenge. By the time I was finished I felt fatigued and knew I had earned myself an afternoon nap. 

I've felt really good about getting back into some type of activity. It's not the rigid schedule I had myself on last summer but I think this is more suited for me, and that's what matters. As long as I keep moving, and pay attention to my intake, I'll be just fine.
